NutFree ("we", "us", "our") is developed and operated by Tati Kapaya, a UK-registered sole trader, offering a discovery directory of nut-free-friendly restaurants and cafes around the world. This policy explains, in plain terms, what data NutFree does and does not collect.
No sign-up and no account — nothing to create, nothing for us to hold. No advertising or tracking SDKs. No analytics or crash-reporting services. We do not sell, share, or transmit your personal data, because there simply isn't any in our possession to sell or share.
NutFree asks for permission to use your location only while the app is open ("when in use"), so it can show you how far away venues are and sort them by distance. This calculation happens entirely on your device. Your location is never sent to us, never stored, and never shared with any third party.
When you star a venue as a favorite, that information is saved only in your phone's local storage. It never leaves your device, and we never see it.
If you tap "Feedback" in the app, it opens your own email app addressed to help@nutfree.io. We only see what you choose to send us, and only if you send it. We use anything you email us solely to respond to you, and keep it only as long as needed to do that.
The app links out to our Instagram page and to venues' own websites. Once you leave the NutFree app through one of these links, that site is governed by its own privacy policy, not ours.
NutFree is a general-audience app. It is not directed at or marketed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Because we don't hold any personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you're in the UK or EU, you still have the right to contact the ICO (or your local data protection authority) with any concerns. If you're in California or another US state, we do not sell or share personal information, so state privacy-rights mechanisms (such as "Do Not Sell My Info") simply don't apply here — there is nothing being sold or shared.
NutFree is a discovery tool built from publicly available information. It is not a certification or safety guarantee. Always confirm a venue's nut-free practices directly with the venue before ordering.
If NutFree ever changes what it collects — for example, if we introduce optional features that involve real data collection — we'll update this page, note the change and the date here, and where required by law, ask for your permission first.
